According to French prosecutors, a security guard for the Qatari embassy in Paris was slain Monday following a struggle with another guy in front of the mission.

A source close to the matter told AFP that the incident took place just before 07:00 AM (0500 GMT) local time in front of the embassy in the 8th district of central Paris.

Prosecutors stated that "The circumstances surrounding the security guard's death still need to be precisely determined," adding that they had not yet confirmed if there was a weapon involved in the killing.

A murder investigation has been initiated and the Paris police have arrested the suspect involved in the fight.
