Trump accused of sexually harassing model he met through Epstein
A spokeswoman for the Trump campaign dismissed the allegations as a "fake" story fabricated by the Harris campaign.
A former model has alleged that Donald Trump sexually harassed her after being introduced by convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in the 1990s, according to a report by The Guardian on Wednesday.
Stacey Williams stated that she encountered the Republican presidential candidate at a party in 1992, following an introduction by Epstein, whom she had previously dated.
"It became very clear then that he and Donald were really, really good friends and spent a lot of time together," Williams was quoted as saying.
She shared details of the alleged assault during a call on Monday organized by Survivors for Kamala, a lobbying group that supports Kamala Harris, Trump's Democratic presidential rival.
Williams, now 56, claimed that during an unannounced visit by Epstein to Trump’s New York office in 1992, Trump pulled her close and began sexually harassing her. She also said she observed that both men seemed to be smiling at each other during the encounter.
The Guardian reported that a spokeswoman for the Trump campaign dismissed the allegations as a "fake" story. She claimed the story was fabricated by the Harris campaign and referred to Williams as "a former activist" for Democratic ex-president Barack Obama.
Williams provided a postcard showing Trump's South Florida mansion, which she claimed he sent to her agent after the incident. The postcard included a handwritten message that read: "Stacey – Your home away from home. Love, Donald."
This is not the first time Trump has been accused of sexually harassing a woman.
Trump was accused of rape and defamation in a case filed in 2019 by journalist E. Jean Carroll, and a jury later found him guilty of all charges.
During this court hearing, Trump did not testify or attempt to defend himself and avoided any form of contact with Carroll. However, he took to Truth Social, his online platform, to attack the plaintiff.
He shared a video of a previous interview she gave to CNN and slammed her saying, "Can you believe I have to defend myself against this woman's fake story?"
Trump said he intends to attend daily hearings in court while simultaneously campaigning. He described his routine as a "Biden witch hunt" in the morning, then a pitstop at supportive rallies to gain votes.
