US woman shoots Uber driver she believed was kidnapping her
Police documents state that the woman saw traffic signs that read Juarez, Mexico which is a border city on the US-Mexico border, and freaked out.
After believing she was being kidnapped to Mexico, a woman named Phoebe Copas has been taken by police and charged with murder after shooting an Uber driver, according to police in the border city of El Paso, Texas.
52-year-old driver Daniel Piedra Garcia was shot and died in the hospital after days on life support.
Police documents state that Copas saw traffic signs that read Juarez, Mexico which is a border city on the US-Mexico border, and freaked out.

She then pulled a gun from her handbag and shot Garcia in the head. The car hit barriers before coming to a full stop.
Copas, who is originally from Kentucky but was visiting her boyfriend in Texas, allegedly called 911 after taking a photo of the driver and texting it to her boyfriend.
"The investigation does not support that a kidnapping took place or that Piedra was veering from Copas' destination," an El Paso Police statement said.
