One killed, three injured in shooting in Texas

El Paso Police Department reported that multiple government organizations responded to a shooting at the Cielo Visa Mall in Texas.

The incident occurred at about 5:00 p.m. local time.
The El Paso Times reported there was a huge police presence at the mall, meanwhile, several consumers and mall personnel were seeking refuge inside the mall.
El Paso police confirmed that one person was killed and three others were injured in the shooting, as per a public information officer on the scene.
"Multiple police units responded from the El Paso Police Department and attempted to locate the shooter. At this time, we do have four persons that were injured or shot during this incident," the officer said.
He stated that no active shooters are present at the time and that police are actively inspecting the area and questioning witnesses.
The shooting came at the height of a current incident in the series of shooting sprees in the US that happened on Monday at Michigan State University, on the eve of the five-year anniversary of the Parkland High School shooting, which killed 17 people, mostly students.
Gun Violence Archive reported there have been more than 70 mass shootings in the United States this year.
Recently, the United States has been rocked by a succession of high-profile mass shootings, including in schools, churches, grocery stores, and hospitals. The incidents have collectively left dozens dead.
