Following the aggression on the hospital, the Palestinian Health Ministry in the Gaza Strip called for international protection for hospitals, medical staff, and patients and urged the creation of safe corridors and the provision of essential medical supplies, fuel, and logistical support.
It also demanded safe evacuations for the injured.
This comes as the Israeli occupation continues its aggression on the Strip unabated and without accountability.
Israeli occupation airstrikes targeted a tent sheltering displaced people in the town of al-Zawayda in central Gaza, resulting in several martyrs and injuries.
Among those martyred were freed prisoner Raed Khaled Ghabayen and his wife, and his infant daughter was seriously injured.
In Rafah, southern Gaza, six were martyred and several were injured following an Israeli attack on a tuk-tuk and a vehicle in the al-Adas area.
Additionally, two martyrs and several injured were retrieved from the al-Nuwairi Hill area, west of the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, following Israeli gunfire.
IOF bombard Kamal Adwan Hospital over 100 times, aggression ongoing
Over a hundred Israeli shells, rockets, and drone strikes, have targeted Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, the hospital's director, Dr. Houssam Abu Safiya, announced on Saturday.
During a press release, Dr. Abu Safiya described the western wing of the hospital as "horrific" following Israeli attacks, which have severely impacted several departments, including operation rooms, roofs, courtyards, and windows in the neonatal intensive care units.
The damage, according to the director, is extremely severe and poses significant hazards following the destruction of water tanks, oxygen generators, and water pumps, and the targeting of fuel tanks, leading to the ignition of a fire, which was extinguished by one of the employees using sand.
It is estimated that it would take at least ten hours, if not a full day, to carry out urgent repairs, he further stated, calling for the need to coordinate repair operations as fast as possible.
Dr. Abu Safiya also noted three Palestinians were injured inside the hospital as a result of the aggression, the cause of which "is still unclear and is very worrying," urging an immediate halt to the devastating attacks on Kamal Adwan Hospital.
Meanwhile, Munir al-Barsh, the director general of health in Gaza, said the situation in Kamal Adwan threatens the lives of children and patients whose survival hinges on oxygenation.
