Gaza Resistance lures IOF into ambush, hits command center in Netzarim
The Resistance operations continue to inflict damage and casualties on Israeli occupation vehicles and soldiers across different axes.
The al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced that its Resistance fighters destroyed an Israeli armored personnel carrier (APC) on Saturday afternoon using a Shawaz explosive device.
The Brigades caused casualties among the Israeli vehicle's crew, including both killed and wounded, in the vicinity of the university in the al-Jinenah neighborhood, east of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.
The Israeli occupation military spokesperson acknowledged the death of an officer, of a captain rank, who served in the 46th Battalion of the 401st Brigade, during a battle in the southern Gaza Strip.
The Israeli Army Radio correspondent said the officer was killed after an anti-tank missile was fired at his tank in Rafah.
Although Israeli occupation forces have been operating in Rafah for over six months, the correspondent noted that the Palestinian Resistance groups continue working to confront and strike the IOF, particularly by carrying out anti-tank missile launches, detonating explosive devices, and executing sniping operations.
In the details of the operation shared by the al-Qassam Brigades, the fighters managed to lure an Israeli engineering unit, consisting of an APC and a Merkava tank, near the university intersection in the al-Jinenah neighborhood.
The Israeli unit was ambushed and targeted with two al-Yassin 105 projectiles and a Shawaz explosive device. Helicopter activity was observed for evacuation.
On its part, the al-Mujahideen Brigades announced that its fighters targeted an Israeli military command and control center in the Netzarim axis with a barrage of Haseb rockets.
