'Israel' commits more massacres in Nabatieh, Bekaa, kills dozens
The Israeli occupation continues to target villages and towns in South Lebanon and Bekaa, killing and injuring more civilians.
The Israeli occupation continues its widespread aggression against Lebanon, systematically targeting villages, towns, and cities in the south, the Bekaa Valley, and the Southern Suburb of Beirut, intensifying the impact on local communities.
Aggression on the South
In a final tally, 16 martyrs, including the mayor of Nabatieh, were killed, while 52 were injured in the Israeli raid on the buildings of the Nabatieh Municipality and its Union of Municipalities, according to the Ministry of Health.
Four people lost their lives in an Israeli airstrike that struck a residence in the town of Haboush, in the Nabatieh district.
Amid the ongoing attacks in the south, hostile Israeli warplanes targeted the region between the towns of Maifadoun and Nabatieh al-Fawqa.
Around 6:45 pm today, Israeli occupation warplanes targeted the town of Ayta al-Shaab, following intermittent artillery shelling on the town and the outskirts of Rmeish at 5:45 pm on Wednesday, according to the National News Agency.
At 4:30 pm, Israeli warplanes conducted a series of raids targeting the towns of Yater and Sultanieh in the Bint Jbeil district.
Additionally, Israeli raids targeted villages east of Sour, coinciding with the overflight of enemy reconnaissance drones and warplanes, along with the deployment of thermal balloons in the area.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese Red Cross announced in a statement that two paramedics were injured when the site they responded to in the southern town of Jwaya came under attack.
In a statement, the Red Cross clarified, “Following the raid on Jwaya in the south, two Lebanese Red Cross ambulances, along with their crews, departed at 4:30 pm on Wednesday after coordinating with UNIFIL. The crews arrived at the location by 4:52 pm and began searching for the injured to provide treatment and assistance.”
"At 5:10 pm, the site was struck, resulting in two paramedics sustaining minor injuries from shrapnel. The paramedics then returned with both vehicles to Jabal Amel Hospital, where they underwent necessary medical examinations. Their condition is stable and not a cause for concern."
Aggression on the Bekaa
In the Bekaa, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that the number of martyrs has risen to 8, with over 30 people injured as a result of the raids that targeted the region on Wednesday.
He explained that the occupation conducted a raid on the town of al-Halaniya, as well as on the plains of Younin and Taraya.
According to Al Mayadeen's correspondent, the number of injured in the Israeli raid on al-Yammouneh increased to 15. Additionally, two martyrs and nine wounded individuals were reported following the Israeli aggression on the Baalbek-Riyaq highway.
Fifteen people were also injured, including one serious injury, in an Israeli raid on the town of Yammouneh, northwest of Baalbek.
According to the Ministry of Health, yesterday's death toll reached 17 martyrs and 182 wounded distributed as follows:
South Lebanon: Three martyrs and 92 injuries;
Nabatieh: Nine martyrs and 49 injuries;
Bekaa: Five martyrs and 26 injuries;
Baalbek-Hermel: 15 injuries.
With these figures, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, the death toll from the Israeli aggression since last year has risen to 2,367, in addition to 11,088 injuries.
138 airstrikes were recorded across various areas of Lebanon, primarily in South Lebanon and Nabatieh, over the past 24 hours. This brings the total number of attacks since the onset of aggression to 10,150, according to Nasser Yassin, the coordinator of the government emergency committee and Minister of Environment in the caretaker government.
