'Israel' continues to insolently violate Lebanon ceasefire
In its latest breach, Israeli drones launched two missiles against the outskirts of Yater.
The Lebanese Army is set to enter Naqoura, on Thursday, to reposition its forces, following the withdrawal of Israeli troops from the area. This marks the third such Israeli withdrawal from territories occupied during the recent ground invasion.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in southern Lebanon reported that Israeli invading units were observed withdrawing from Naqoura’s neighborhoods towards Ras Naqoura and Alma al-Shaab while conducting sweeps with automatic rifles. At the same time, Israeli Merkava tanks continued to shell several homes in the area.
Our correspondent also noted that an Israeli military convoy, reinforced with eight Merkava tanks, a bulldozer, and Hummer vehicles, advanced from the town of Ramieh towards al-Salhani, al-Qawzah, and reached Wadi Mazlam near the outskirts of Beit Lif—territory that had not been accessed during the recent Israeli war on Lebanon.

Concurrently, Israeli soldiers conducted searches of homes and surrounding forests, and machine gun fire was heard within the village. Additionally, Israeli drones launched two missiles at the outskirts of Yater.
Since the early hours of Thursday morning, Israeli drones have been observed flying at low altitudes over Beirut and its southern suburbs, marking an increase in aerial activity.
On the political front, Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri met with US General Jasper Jeffers, head of the monitoring committee overseeing the ceasefire agreement in Ain al-Tineh, Beirut. The meeting, held Thursday afternoon, was also attended by US Ambassador to Lebanon, Dorothy Johnson. Discussions between the two sides have focused on the ongoing Israeli violations and the broader security and political situation in Lebanon.
These developments come amid ongoing Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement, which began on November 27, 2023.
Hezbollah MP warns 'Israel' will face wrath if truce violations resume
What the Israeli occupation could not achieve throughout the war, it is trying to get during peacetime, Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc MP Ihab Hamadeh said last Tuesday.
During his interview with Al Mayadeen, Hamadeh reiterated that the Resistance was Lebanon's protector and is what prevented the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) from violating its land. "Anyone who believes that the Resistance in Lebanon has weakened is delusional," he said.
He further affirmed that "On the 61st day after the ceasefire, we will be in a position to make the Israeli enemy taste our wrath," adding that the committee overseeing the ceasefire had not shown any seriousness so far.
Reiterating Hezbollah's strength and capabilities, Hamadeh stated that it has the resources and minds that allow its forces to confront the Israeli occupation.
He additionally spoke about Syria and the latest developments, stressing that they do not impact the Resistance, contrary to what is generally believed.

Regarding the political ambiance in Lebanon, Hamadeh stated that the upcoming political phase would be the continuation of the war on Lebanon, led by Washington, emphasizing that Hezbollah would remain steadfast in its confrontation.
Concluding his interview, Hamadeh warned, "If the occupation takes any steps against Lebanon from the eastern side, following its expansion in Syria, we will carry out our national duty."
Earlier, Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Ali Fayyad emphasized the need for caution in the current phase, stating that the Resistance is not being drawn into a military confrontation over Israeli violations, and reiterated that the primary objective remains "Israel's" withdrawal from Lebanese territory without the occupation offering any excuses for it exceeding the 60-day deadline.
Fayyad pointed out that significant questions are emerging in light of the major regional shifts and the impact of the recent Israeli aggression on Lebanon. He criticized "Israel" for its "unchecked" attacks on Syria and Lebanon, noting that the entity receives international cover, with no significant condemnation from Western nations or action from global institutions, which remain ineffective.
