'Israel' continues West Bank aggression, storming entire cities, homes
The Israeli occupation is still carrying out raids and aggression in several cities of the occupied West Bank as Palestinians confront their forces.
The Israeli occupation forces have continued their aggression against areas and refugee camps in the northern West Bank, leaving 30 martyrs and causing extensive destruction to infrastructure, including the burning of homes and the arrest of dozens of Palestinians.
On Wednesday, Israeli forces detonated residential blocks in the Jenin refugee camp, further escalating their attacks. This aggression has led to the transformation of the city of Tulkarm and its refugee camp into military barracks, forcing 75% of the population to flee, according to Palestinian media sources.
The sources also reported a heavy presence of Israeli troops at the northern entrance of the camp and in the surrounding agricultural areas. Israeli forces conducted extensive raids and searches after seizing several residential buildings and converting them into military posts.
Additionally, the occupation forces stormed al-Adawiya School, positioning snipers in its windows, and spread throughout the alleys and neighborhoods of the camp, targeting any movement.
Meanwhile, in Tubas, the Israeli military continues its assaults in the town of Tammoun and the al-Faraa refugee camp, deploying additional reinforcements. The situation has worsened due to the ongoing siege, with food and essential supplies running out, water shortages, and widespread destruction of roads and infrastructure.
Israeli media reported that the army is expanding its operations in the northern West Bank, not only in terms of the areas it operates in but also in the military equipment it is using.
Escalating tactics
According to the reports, Eitan armored personnel carriers (APCs), used by the Nahal Brigade in combat, were seen in the Tubas and Jenin areas on Monday. This marks the first time since Operation Defensive Shield in 2002, which took place as part of the Second Intifada, that Israeli forces have deployed armored personnel carriers in the West Bank.
Meanwhile, eyewitnesses told Palestinian media that Israeli drones targeted seven sites in the town of Tammoun. The Israeli forces also launched a large-scale arrest campaign and conducted field interrogations in the town, converting several homes into military posts.
The Israeli forces have also begun using offensive tools in the West Bank that were rarely employed in the past, a fact confirmed by an army spokesperson in response to an inquiry from the Kipa news website.
Israeli media viewed this as an attempt to signal that the current military operation in the northern West Bank is no longer a routine mission.
Israeli forces, comprising three military brigades, frequently carry out airstrikes targeting resistance fighters and infrastructure, demolish buildings, and now utilize armored personnel carriers to transport troops through occupied villages and refugee camps.
