'Israel' declined Ukraine's assistance offer for handling drone threat
Israeli Reserve General Itzhak Brik says Kiev had offered Tel Aviv information that could have assisted it in dealing with the drone threat.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government rejected an offer from Ukraine to receive assistance in dealing with the imminent threat of drones launched from Lebanon, Israeli Reserve General Itzhak Brik revealed.
Brik mentioned that Kiev had offered Tel Aviv information that could have assisted it in dealing with the drone threat, and also invited the Israeli army to learn from Ukrainian forces about handling drones.
According to Brik, the Israeli army showed no interest in the Ukrainian offer, which suggests a possible underestimation by "Israel" regarding the magnitude of the threat posed by Hezbollah drones.
Moreover, the Israeli Channel 12 reported that Kiev had planned to invite Israeli experts to study drones and test anti-drone systems in exchange for advanced technologies, which "Israel" seemed unwilling to provide.
The outlet added that "Israel" ignored the numerous Ukrainian offers and did not take them seriously.
A couple of days ago, the Israeli newspaper Haaretz reported on the increasing threat Hezbollah's drones is posing to "Israel”, noting the Resistance group’s success in challenging the occupation's anti-air system.
In an article by military affairs correspondent, Yaniv Kubovich, the newspaper confirmed that “the Israeli army still has not found the [right] way to deal with the threat of [Hezbollah's] drones,” which “are wreaking great destruction in the north, crushing the sense of security of tens of thousands of settlers, who are scared to return.”
Haaretz cited a senior Israeli security source who confirmed that Hezbollah's ability to carry out precise attacks and in sudden directions, along with its firepower, drones, and cruise missiles, constitutes "a real threat to the air defense system."
Touching on Hezbollah's threats and capabilities, Brik warned that "Israel awaits a disaster" in any large-scale war with the Lebanese group.
The Israeli media's increasing talk about the threat of Hezbollah's drones comes as the latter continues its operations, especially the aerial ones, against Israeli targets as part of its support for the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and its Resistance and in response to the Israeli attacks on Lebanese towns and villages.
