One civilian was martyred in an Israeli drone strike targeting his vehicle in Blida, Marjayoun Governorate in South Lebanon, the Lebanese Health Ministry announced on Tuesday.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in the south also reported that an Israeli drone targeted an excavator in Blida as well, leading to its destruction, amid "Israel's" assault on all means that could advance the reconstruction of Southern Lebanon following the devastation incurred during last year's war.
Earlier today, our correspondent in South Lebanon reported a new wave of Israeli attacks targeting civilian infrastructure and violating international agreements, as tensions continue to rise along the Lebanese southern border.
An Israeli drone targeted a vehicle in the city of Bint Jbeil, launching two missiles at the car. One martyr was reported in the aftermath of the attack.
The aggressions carried out today mark yet another Israeli violation of the truce reached in November 2024. Such assaults have become routine for the Israeli occupation, amounting to daily targeting of civilians, logistical movement, and means to sustain life in South Lebanon.
Lebanon has consistently called for accountability and urged action to halt all attacks on its sovereignty and people, including through complaints to the UNSC, through UNIFIL, and to the ceasefire guarantor committee, but to no avail.
