'Israel' forced to accept ceasefire, this is its major defeat: Qaani
The commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps in Iran stated that the Israeli occupation "was forced to accept the conditions of the Resistance" after 15 months of genocide in the Gaza Strip.
Esmail Qaani, the commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps in Iran, emphasized that this day marks a moment of "shame, disgrace, and the greatest loss for the Israeli occupation," after "Israel" was "compelled to accept a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip."
In a statement on Sunday, he pointed out that the occupation, after 15 months of committing crimes in Gaza, was forced to accept the Resistance's conditions, which he said were the same ones that the Resistance presented in previous rounds of negotiations.
Qaani also noted that the negotiations held in recent months were "no different from those that the occupation thwarted in mid-2024, and in which it did not obtain any concessions."
It is important to note that the Resistance in Gaza continued to target Israeli occupation forces until the 470th day of the war. According to the terms of the agreement, the occupation is obligated to withdraw from the entire Gaza Strip, a demand that the Resistance has consistently maintained since the beginning of the negotiations.
The Israeli occupation continued its massacres up until the implementation of the agreement, resulting in a death toll surpassing 46,899 martyrs and 110,725 wounded. These figures, recorded since October 7, 2023, were released in the latest statistics published by the Ministry of Health in Gaza on Saturday.
Upon the agreement coming into effect, the occupation carried out several violations that led to additional martyrs and wounded, while people rejoiced in celebration of the ceasefire and Resistance fighters were seen riding in their military vehicles.
'Israel' acknowledges massive losses incurred from war on Gaza
"Israel" has reported financial losses amounting to $67 billion as a result of its ongoing genocidal war on Gaza, the Middle East Monitor (MEMO) news website mentioned on Saturday.
It highlighted that this figure includes $34 billion in direct military expenses and $40 billion in general budget losses, marking the largest economic setback in the Israeli occupation's history.
Over the past year, approximately 60,000 Israeli businesses have shut down, representing a 50% increase compared to 2023, the news website said. It added that the Israeli tourism sector has also suffered significantly, with a 70% decline in visitors leading to losses exceeding $5 billion.
Meanwhile, the construction industry reported losses of $4 billion, with more than 70 companies ceasing operations, according to MEMO.
Additionally, data revealed that one-third of the population under Israeli occupation now lives below the poverty line, with a quarter experiencing food insecurity.
The news website emphasized that these figures were disclosed just hours before the ceasefire agreement was reached with the Palestinian Resistance Gaza.
