Palestinian sources have informed Al Mayadeen Sunday that Gaza is being isolated, besieged, and starved in the most severe way since the beginning of the aggression on the Strip last year.

According to the sources, the Israeli occupation "Relies on the armored and heavy engineering corps to carry out the isolation with a large force from its 401st and 460th brigades."

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) are using military tools in a concentrated and intensive manner in besieging the Strip and targeting its northern part, the source explained, adding that the Palestinian citizens in homes and shelters are living in unprecedented famine and terror.

In addition, "the IOF have been preventing aid from entering northern Gaza since the beginning of this month."

The sources explained that the IOF have also bombed most of the water wells in the northern part of the Strip, stressing it was shooting at "Anyone trying to reach a limited amount of water," and also bombed places where people attempted to produce limited quantities of diesel for hospitals and bakeries.

On Saturday evening, the Israeli occupation committed a horrific massacre by bombing several houses near al-Qassam Mosque in the Beit Lahia area in the northern Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of 73 Palestinians, according to a preliminary toll announced by the Government Media Office in Gaza.

In addition to the high death toll of the massacre, dozens of people have been injured or remain missing, most of them women and children, as stated by the media office. This new massacre coincides with the Israeli occupation’s deliberate destruction of the healthcare system in the northern region of the sector, an area that remains home to around 400,000 residents.

The Government Media Office further reported that the Israeli occupation forces had threatened hospitals in the province, demanding that medical staff evacuate immediately. Furthermore, the occupation has blocked fuel deliveries to these hospitals and cut off communication and internet access in the area, worsening the humanitarian crisis.

In this context, the Islamic Resistance Movement,  Hamas, condemned the massacres and atrocities that continue around the clock in the Gaza Strip, citing that "Arab silence and international powerlessness encouraged this criminal fascist enemy to commit more crimes and massacres in order to cleanse northern Gaza from its residents."

In turn, the Islamic Jihad Movement stated that this new level of criminality coincides with the newly announced 'General's plan' which aims to kill all life in northern Gaza."

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, for its part, expressed that the Israeli occupation is destroying entire neighborhoods and those who live in them in the northern part of the strip daily, calling the US' current administration the "true leader" of this aggression.
