'Israel' intensifies raids across West Bank, wounds Palestinians
The Israeli occupation forces continued their aggression across the West Bank, storming multiple towns and villages and causing daily human and material losses.
In Beit Ummar, north of al-Khalil, one Palestinian was wounded by live gunfire. Several others suffered from suffocation due to tear gas during a raid on Kafr Ein, north of Ramallah.
Occupation forces also carried out raids in Tammun, Rummaneh (west of Jenin), al-Jib (northwest of al-Quds), and Silwad (east of Ramallah).
Clashes in Jenin and arrest of Palestine TV crew
Violent confrontations erupted in Qabatiya, south of Jenin, as young Palestinians resisted the invading forces. The occupation troops fired live ammunition toward civilians during the clashes.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces detained the crew of Palestine TV in Jenin for several hours, preventing communication with them before their eventual release.
In a related move, the occupation authorities banned Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, the preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque, from entering the compound for six months.
This escalation coincides with increasing political and economic pressure on Palestinians. According to a report by Reuters, the Israeli restrictions on the West Bank economy are further undermining the viability of establishing a Palestinian state on its territory.
