A 12-year-old boy was killed and his father was seriously injured on Wednesday evening after an Israeli airstrike directly targeted their home in the town of Touline, in southern Lebanon’s Marj'youn district, according to a statement by Lebanon’s Ministry of Health.

Al Mayadeen’s correspondent confirmed that the strike hit the garage of the family’s residence, resulting in the immediate killing of the boy and causing severe injuries to his father. The attack adds to a growing list of Israeli strikes on civilian infrastructure and homes across southern Lebanon.

On the same day, Israeli occupation forces escalated their aggression by shelling the outskirts of Shebaa with at least nine artillery rounds, further endangering civilians in the area.

In a separate development Wednesday evening, Israeli occupation forces launched flares over the towns of al-Wazzani and Ain Arab, in what appeared to be another intimidation maneuver.

Prior to the flare barrage, an Israeli drone dropped two bombs targeting an excavator in the town of al-Khiam, according to Al Mayadeen’s correspondent.

Israeli strike on Brital kills one; assaults continue in South Lebanon

Yesterday, one citizen was killed following an Israeli drone strike targeting a vehicle in the town of Brital, in eastern Lebanon, the Lebanese Ministry of Health confirmed.

According to Al Mayadeen’s correspondent, the attack was part of a broader escalation in the region, with an Israeli drone launching a raid involving three missiles along the Baalbek–Rayak international road, an area that had previously seen limited aerial aggression.

Meanwhile, in southern Lebanon, Israeli assaults also intensified. Al Mayadeen’s correspondent reported that an Israeli reconnaissance aircraft detonated a drone that had crashed earlier on the outskirts of the town of Kfar Chouba. The incident raised concerns over the increasing use of drones and unmanned systems across both eastern and southern Lebanese territories.

Israeli drone strike kills one, injures four in al-Khiam, Lebanon

Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health reported on Monday that one civilian was martyred and four others were injured following an Israeli drone strike on the eastern neighborhood of al-Khiam, located in southern Lebanon.

The targeted attack, carried out by a hostile unmanned aerial vehicle, marked the latest in a series of escalations by the Israeli occupation forces along Lebanon's southern border.

In a related development on the same day, Israeli artillery shelled the Hermon hilltop area south of the town of Yaroun, launching three artillery rounds at the site, further intensifying tensions in the region.

Additionally, according to Al Mayadeen's correspondent in South Lebanon, a concealed Israeli surveillance camera was discovered in the town of Aitaroun, pointing to ongoing espionage activity by the Israeli regime inside Lebanese territory.

IOF launch airstrikes on South Lebanon, Bekaa

On July 31, the Israeli occupation committed yet another flagrant violation of the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon, violently striking several areas spanning the southern region of Lebanon all the way to the Bekaa valley in the east.

Israeli warplanes repeatedly targeted the towns of al-Aishiyah, al-Mahmoudiya, and al-Jarmaq in the south, while the occupation forces launched flare bombs over the Wazzani area.

In the Bekaa region, the occupation forces targeted the outskirts of several villages with intermittent airstrikes that lasted about an hour, according to Al Mayadeen’s correspondent, targeting the outskirts of the towns of Nabi Sheet, Masa, and Brital.

"Israel" has unrelentingly violated the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon since it was reached in November of 2024, launching airstrikes, drone strikes, and ground incursions on a near-daily basis despite Hezbollah's complete adherence to the agreement.

Repeated violations with complete impunity

On the evening of July 28, the Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that an Israeli drone strike in the southern city of Bint Jbeil killed one civilian and wounded four others.

Al Mayadeen’s correspondent reported that the attack was carried out by an Israeli occupation drone that struck a motorcycle in the city center, marking the latest escalation in the Israeli entity's ongoing cross-border aggression against southern Lebanon.

July 26 also witnessed deadly Israeli aggression in southern Lebanon. The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health’s emergency operations center reported three martyrs that day: two were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the town of Dabaal, in the Tyre district, and one civilian was martyred on the Srifa–Tuwairi road.

The two young men, Ali Gharib and Muhammad Haidar Aboud, were killed by the Israelis while feeding chickens in a coop located near their home in the town of Dabaal, according to locals' reports.
