"Israel" launched airstrikes targeting multiple military sites in the vicinity of Kiswah, located in the western Damascus countryside, according to Syrian media.
Local outlets reported that Mount al-Mana, another area in the western Damascus countryside, also came under attack, with military positions affiliated with the Syrian Ministry of Defense targeted. The strikes resulted in loud explosions echoing across the region.
As of now, there have been no official reports on the number of casualties or the scale of material damage caused by "Israel's" attacks. Syrian authorities are still assessing the aftermath of the attack.
Simultaneously, media outlets observed military movements by the occupation army in the southern countryside of Quneitra, accompanied by increased Israeli reconnaissance and military flights over the area. The developments point to a broader escalation along Syria’s southern front.
Syria condemns violation of sovereignty, international law
Earlier today, the Syrian Foreign Ministry condemned a drone attack carried out by Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday, which targeted a Syrian army unit near Kiswah, resulting in the death of six soldiers.
In an official statement, the ministry stressed that the attacks constitute a “serious violation of international law and the UN Charter,” as well as a “clear breach of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.”
According to Syrian military sources, Tuesday’s strike targeted an elite unit of the Syrian Ministry of Defense stationed near the Sweida road in the Damascus countryside.
The latest developments underscore the continued escalation and repeated violations of Syrian airspace by the occupation, which have drawn repeated condemnation from Damascus.
