'Israel' never condemned Ukrainian strikes on Russia: Moscow
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson responds to the Israeli Ambassador to Russia that Moscow will not condemn Iran's retaliatory attack.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova told the Israeli Ambassador to Russia Simon Halperin on Sunday that 'Israel' never condemned Ukrainian strikes against Russian territories.
Her statement came in response to Halperin's statement to Sputnik earlier that the Israeli entity was expecting Russia to condemn Iran's retaliatory attack on "Israel".
"Simona, please remind me, when did Israel condemn at least one of the Kiev regime's attacks on the Russian regions? You do not remember? Neither do I. On the contrary, I remember regular statements by Israeli officials supporting the actions of [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelensky," Zakharova said on Telegram.
On Sunday at midnight, Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force announced that it targeted Israeli positions in occupied Palestine with dozens of drones and missiles, as part of the retaliatory response to the malicious Israeli crime against the Iranian embassy in Syria.
Described as "unprecedented", by a Sky News correspondent, the IRGC's Aerospace Force announced that the operation dubbed "True Promise" was launched in the context of "punishing the criminal Zionist regime."
The force said that the operation came "in response to the numerous evil crimes of the Zionist regime," including the attack on the embassy. It said that its forces, supported by other units of the Iranian Armed Forces, launched the "wide-ranging" military operation.
