Al Mayadeen's private sources reported that the Israeli occupation authorities are relocating Palestinian detainee Mahmoud al-Ardah from an isolation cell at "Rimonim" Prison to another one at "Ayalon" Prison.

The occupation's court renewed the solitary confinement of al-Ardah for another 6 months, as per the sources, who also disclosed that since October 7 last year, Israeli authorities have been denying access to lawyers seeking to visit al-Ardah.

On September 6, 2021, al-Ardah was one of six detainees who broke out of Gilboa Prison in an operation that shook the Israeli occupation's trust in its security system to the core.

The Freedom Tunnel prisoners are Mohammed al-Ardah, Zakaria al-Zubaidi, Yaqoub Qadri, Mohammed Qasim al-Ardah, Ayham Kamamji, and Munadel Nafi'at.

In 142 days, 'Israel' detains 7,225 Palestinians in West Bank, al-Quds

As of October 7, 2023, the total number of Israeli arrests against Palestinians in various areas of the West Bank and occupied al-Quds has reached approximately 7,225 detainees, as per the Palestinian Detainees and ex-Detainees Affairs Commission and the Palestinian Prisoners Society. This figure encompasses those apprehended from their homes, at military checkpoints, individuals who surrendered under pressure, and those taken hostage.

Approximately 227 women are among the total number of detainees, in addition to more than 460 children, as per the prisoners' associations.

In further detail, the Israeli occupation arrested 56 journalists, with 37 still in detention, and put 21 others in administrative detention, they added.

The associations also emphasized that the arrest operations were primarily concentrated in Beit Lahm in the southern part of the West Bank, with additional arrests taking place across al-Khalil, Ramallah, Tulkarm, Nablus, and occupied al-Quds.

They also revealed that the Israeli arrest campaigns were accompanied by widespread acts of harassment, brutal beatings, and threats against the detainees and their families. Furthermore, there were extensive incidents of destruction and sabotage in the homes of Palestinian citizens.
