In 141 days, 'Israel' detains 7,210 Palestinians in West Bank, al-Quds

The majority of the arrests have taken place in the cities of al-Khalil, Ramallah, al-Quds, Nablus, and Jenin.

The Palestinian Detainees and ex-Detainees Affairs Commission and the Palestinian Prisoners Society reported that the Israeli occupation forces detained 22 Palestinians from the occupied West Bank between Friday and Saturday. The detainees included journalist Sami al-Saei, two children, and former detainees.

The report emphasized that the arrest operations were primarily concentrated in Beit Lahm in the southern part of the West Bank, with additional arrests taking place across al-Khalil, Ramallah, Tulkarm, Nablus, and occupied al-Quds.

⭕ Since yesterday, At least 22 citizens from the West Bank have been abducted by Zionist forces including journalist Sami Al-Saei, two children, and previously released captives.

It also revealed that the Israeli arrest campaigns were accompanied by widespread acts of harassment, brutal beatings, and threats against the detainees and their families. Furthermore, there were extensive incidents of destruction and sabotage in the homes of Palestinian citizens.

As of October 7, 2023, the total number of Israeli arrests against Palestinians in various areas of the West Bank and occupied al-Quds has reached approximately 7,210 detainees. This figure encompasses those apprehended from their homes, at military checkpoints, individuals who surrendered under pressure, and those taken hostage.

Israeli occupation forces launched a series of raids in various areas of the occupied West Bank early Saturday, with Palestinian Resistance fighters confronting the invading forces.

Confrontations erupted between Palestinian fighters and Israeli occupation forces after their incursion into the towns of Beit Furik and Beit Dajan east of Nablus in the northern West Bank.

Occupation forces also raided the town of Faqqua and the village of al-Arabouna, near the city of Jenin in the northern West Bank.

In Qalqilya, Israeli occupation forces raided al-Marj area, al-Naqar neighborhood, and the vicinity of the al-Qalb al-Kabir School, where they assaulted homes and properties belonging to Palestinian civilians.

Local media reported that the Shweikeh gate, north of Tulkarm, and the Israeli checkpoint "Nitzanei Oz", west of the city, were targeted with gunfire after Israeli occupation forces raided Tulkarm.

In the southern West Bank, the Israeli occupation forces raided the village of al-Tawani in the vicinity of Masafer Yatta, south of al-Khalil, and stormed the homes of Palestinian citizens in Beit Ta'mar in Beit Lahm.
