An Israeli airstrike targeted a vehicle near the Abu al-Aswad area in the Tyre area, resulting in the martyrdom of one Lebanese citizen, Al Mayadeen's correspondent in South Lebanon reported on Saturday, as confirmed by Lebanon’s Ministry of Health.
This latest aggression is part of a pattern of continued Israeli attacks on South Lebanon in direct violation of the ceasefire agreement.

In the early hours of Saturday, Israeli warplanes struck a prefabricated room and a hangar in the town of Ayta al-Shaab. Shortly afterward, another airstrike targeted a civilian tractor in the town of al-Dhayrah, both in southern Lebanon.
In a separate act, an Israeli aircraft dropped a stun grenade near a group of fishermen in the coastal town of Naqoura, further escalating tensions.
Simultaneously, Israeli forces also targeted a civilian home in Kfar Kila with three grenades. While no injuries were reported, the targeting of civilian infrastructure highlights the ongoing pattern of Israeli aggression.
Invading Israeli units carried out a sweeping ground operation from the Roueissat al-Alam site toward the outskirts of Kfar Chouba.
Phosphorus shells used to ignite fires in Markaba
According to Al Mayadeen’s correspondent, Israeli occupation forces resumed a destructive tactic seen in previous escalations, firing phosphorus shells to ignite wildfires. Two phosphorus rounds were launched toward the outskirts of Markaba, setting parts of the area ablaze amid high temperatures.

The ceasefire agreement, in effect since November 27, 2024, has been repeatedly breached by Israeli aggression. Airstrikes continue to hit towns and villages across South Lebanon and the Bekaa region, including attacks on Beirut’s Southern suburb. Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation maintains control over five key points in southern Lebanon.
The ongoing use of force and phosphorus shells in Lebanon, paired with deliberate attacks on civilian areas, underscores a widening campaign of Israeli violations under the title of ecocide.
