US President Donald Trump claimed that the United States had no involvement in the Israeli occupation's strikes on Iran, which took place on Sunday night. The statement was issued through his Truth Social account.
"The US had nothing to do with the attack on Iran, tonight," Trump stated, referring to the assault launched by "Israel" against targets within the Islamic Republic. The president’s remarks came amid speculation that Washington may have provided support or intelligence to the Israeli regime.
Despite trying to distance the US from the operation, Trump threatened Tehran, declaring: "If we are attacked in any way, shape or form by Iran, the full strength and might of the US Armed Forces will come down on you at levels never seen before."
At the same time, the US president claimed he intends de-escalation despite supporting the Israeli war effort, suggesting that a diplomatic resolution remained within reach, asserting: "We can easily get a deal done between Iran and Israel, and end this bloody conflict!"
The statement reflects Trump’s broader messaging strategy, projecting military dominance and supporting the US proxies while positioning himself as a broker for peace in an unprovoked and illegal war that the Israelis initiated on behalf of Washington.
Trump's statement comes after both Israeli and White House officials announced that the Israeli aggression against Iran is expected to unfold over “weeks, not days,” and is proceeding with implicit backing from the United States.
An Israeli source told CNN that the Trump administration has not raised objections to the extended timeline during private talks. A senior White House official confirmed that Washington is aware of and quietly supports the ongoing aggression.
When asked how long the conflict might last, the official said it largely depends on Iran’s response, noting, “The Trump administration firmly believes this can be solved by continuing negotiations with the US."
The official added that while the US won’t dictate "Israel’s" actions, adding that it supports its so-called "right to self-defense."
Iran renews attack on 'Israel' as part of Operation True Promise 3
A massive Iranian drone and missile offensive has struck deep into occupied Palestine, with air raid sirens sounding repeatedly across various cities and settlements amid fears of continued infiltration by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) as Iran exacts its retaliation as part of Operation True Promise 3.
Multiple Iranian projectiles scored direct hits on central Tel Aviv, resulting in significant destruction, injuries, and widespread panic.
Israeli media reported that at least six sites in "Tel Aviv" were struck directly by Iranian missiles, including a high-rise tower in the greater Tel Aviv area, causing extensive damage and fires. In Bat Yam, an occupied city just south of Tel Aviv, heavy destruction was reported following direct impacts from Iranian missiles, with dozens of buildings damaged and flames engulfing several structures.
