Sayyed Nasrallah: America is afraid that the Lebanese army will confront "Israel."

Today, Friday, Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah condemned the US aggression against media outlets "most of which belong to the pattern of the resistance," saying that "Washington's ban on websites in the region proves the US administrations' false allegations."

Regarding the Lebanese file, Sayyed Nasrallah said that "when America tries to justify the reason for its logistical support for the Lebanese army, it says it aims to confront Hezbollah, and the American aim is to provoke the resistance's mass by raising suspicion about strengthening the army."

He added, "In our nature, we put effort to push friendly states to extend a helping hand to the Lebanese army, and we witnessed in the Lebanese army institution the guarantees of security, stability, and the unity of Lebanon."

In the same context, Sayyed Nasrallah stressed that "our culture finds the army an essential part of Lebanon's strength, meaning the army, the people and the resistance," noting that "the US administration fears that the Lebanese army can confront "Israel."

Sayyed Nasrallah on the formation of the government: We Accept Basil's Invitation

Regarding the formation of the Lebanese government, Sayyed Nasrallah said that "some in Lebanon exploit any event to distort the image of others and settle political scores, and some insist, with their political statements, on holding Iran and Hezbollah responsible for not forming a Lebanese government."

Nasrallah added that "the Americans are trying to mortgage the Lebanese file to negotiations with Iran, and Tehran rejects that," noting that "all the Saudi-Iranian talks did not address the Lebanese file and Iran does not negotiate on behalf of anyone."

He continued, "Being accused that we are obstructing the formation of a new government in Lebanon is slander, deception, and aggression." He believed that "all local fronts must unite to form a government for the country to get out of this predicament."

Sayyed Nasrallah indicated that "Berri's initiative with various parties led to an important point, which is an agreement between several ministers," and stressed that Hezbollah "never talked about a triad in the government, and we did not think about it. However, it was presented to us, and we did not accept it."

Regarding the head of the Strong Lebanon bloc, Gibran Bassil's request to seek the assistance of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah in forming a government, the latter said that “we heard the reactions, and we heard a lot of political blasphemy and sectarian and racist language,” pointing out that “Basil did not mention authorization and didn't ask for authorization."

Sayyed Nasrallah revealed that he began to "accept Bassil's invitation," and said, "We want to extend a helping hand and defend the rights of every Lebanese, and this is one of our duties, but I am not in the position to play the role of a referee in such issues, and what was proposed by Basil is a friendly request, and we are ready to start."

He believed that "the goal is to satisfy both Aoun and Hariri so that the government can be brought into existence," pointing out that "what we see on the issue of gasoline, food, and medicine should morally pressure those with authority."

Al-Sayyed concluded in this file, stressing that "Hezbollah is not neutral on the issue of the government, but we side with the truth, and we, in the government crisis, were and will stand where the truth is."

Nasrallah highlighted a promise he made a few days ago that "if the state is unable to fill the shortage of oil derivatives, we will resort to Iran."

He continued: "With or without a decision, and whether it was intended or not, the country is heading to raising the subsidy, and concerning the discussion to rationalize or lift the subsidy, a committee must be formed in which all the partners in the previous governments participate, and if the country is going to lift the subsidy, the financing card will aid hundreds of thousands of families.”

The Secretary-General of Hezbollah added that "there is a wide range of crises in Lebanon, but we are blessed with security, stability and civil peace," stressing the presence of "those who want to drag the country to bombings, and that serves the enemy."

He also said that "the Lebanese Forces do not miss an opportunity to attack us, but we won't respond," stressing that "today stifling strife is more important than anything else."
