At the martyr's funeral a few days ago, his mother revealed to Al Mayadeen that "he was being chased for two months by authority elements."
Ahmed Majdalani, the Secretary-General of the Palestinian Popular Struggle Front, said Sunday to Al Mayadeen that whoever is responsible for the death of Nizar Banat will be punished according to the law, stressing that he rejects the use of treason by any party.
On Saturday, the Palestinian police suppressed protests in Ramallah and Al-Khalil, demanding that whoever is behind the martyrdom of Banat, who passed at the hands of the Palestinian National Security Forces, gets punished.
