After the Israeli occupation decided to evacuate "Givat Eviatar" outpost in Jabal Sbeih, Nablus, social media users reacted to the news, stressing the need for this to happen all over the West Bank.

  • How Did Social Media Users React to Settlers Leaving

Social media users interacted remarkably with Israeli settlers leaving the "Givat Eviatar" settlement outpost built on Jabal Sbeih in Beita, south of Nablus, occupied West Bank.

"Beita is victorious with the departure of the settlers."

Using the hashtags "Beita is Victorious" and "They Leave, We Stay," and many other hashtags, Twitter users posted photos and videos of Palestinians dismantling a metallic Star of David set up by the occupation and settlers leaving the settlement outpost.

Twitter users also highlighted that this experience must be generalized throughout the occupied West Bank.

بيتا تنتصر، بعد أكثر من شهرين من المقاومة انسحب المستوطنون مساء أمس من البؤرة الاستيطانية التي أقاموها هناك.

The users also stressed that they adhere to resistance, stating that it is the only thing that deters occupiers.

"Givat Eviatar" has been subject to numerous controversies, and the area surrounding it witnessed copious amounts of demonstrations and night confusion activities, throughout the past two months, carried out by Palestinians with the aim of deterring the occupiers and disrupting the settlement process. The occupation authorities decided to evacuate the settlement outpost Friday under the pretext of "looking into the legal status of the land."

The Israeli media stated that the evacuation came "as a result of the settlement agreement," noting that "the Palestinians threw stones at the Israeli forces near the settlement outpost."

And Israeli media admitted, "The Palestinians distressed the settlers by burning tires, sounding horns, and using laser pointers."

The Israeli "i24news" justified the evacuation of the outpost as "a commitment to the agreement concluded with the government of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett."

It quoted one of the settlers as saying: "I hope we will come back here very soon... We can build a big house," before leaving.
