Numerous Attacks by "Jabhat al-Nusra" in Idlib During Past Hours
The Russian Ministry of Defense documented 32 attacks by "Jabhat al-Nusra" on Syrian areas in and around Idlib.
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the militants of the "Jabhat Al-Nusra" carried out 32 attacks in the de-escalation zone in Idlib during the past hours.
Deputy Director of the Russian Coordination Center in Hmeimim, Rear Admiral Vadim Kolet, said in a statement that "32 attacks from the terrorist organization's positions in the Idlib de-escalation zone were recorded, including 19 attacks in the Idlib governorate, 8 in the Latakia governorate, 1 in Aleppo governorate and 4 in Hama governorate.”
On the 18th of this month, the Ministry announced that the terrorists, deployed in the de-escalation zone in Idlib and some areas in its countryside, carried out 28 attacks, including 6 that targeted safe civilian areas in the northern countryside of Hama.
At the start of this month, the Russian Reconciliation Center revealed that "terrorists are transporting 10 containers of toxic materials to the Idlib Governorate" in Syria.
The Center said, "The terrorists, in cooperation with the White Helmets, plan to simulate a chemical attack."
The Russian Defense Ministry had warned that terrorists, along with the "White Helmets" organization, were preparing for a "chemical attack" on the de-escalation zone in Syria's Idlib, on June 23.
In 2016, Jabhat al-Nusra announced its formal separation from "al-Qaeda" and changed its name to "Jabhat Fateh al-Sham", which later merged into "Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham" with other terrorist groups under the command of Abu Mohammad al-Jolani, and has been stationed since then in large parts of the Idlib province, northeastern Syria.
