Lebanese PM: "Israel" Openly Attacks Lebanon's Sovereignty
Lebanese Caretaker Prime Minister Hassan Diab has requested to file an urgent complaint to the UN Security Council against the latest Israeli aggression on Lebanon, calling on the UN and the Security Council to deter “Israel”.
Lebanese Caretaker Prime Minister Hassan Diab confirmed that the latest and dangerous Israeli aggression on Lebanon constitutes a major threat to the status quo on the Lebanese southern border.
Moreover, Diab asked the caretaker Minister of National Defense and Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Zeina Akar, to instruct Lebanon's delegate to the UN, Ambassador Amal Mudallali, to file an urgent complaint to the Security Council against the latest Israeli aggression on Lebanon.
He said that the Israeli enemy, using its artillery and then its warplanes, has carried out an explicit aggression against Lebanon’s sovereignty, pointing out that the enemy has publically admitted violating the UN Resolution 1701, citing the missiles launching, which is of suspicious timing and goals, on northern Palestine as a pretext.
Diab pointed out that the new and dangerous aggression is a major threat to the status quo on the Lebanese southern border.
Yesterday, Israeli media reported that Israeli warplanes raided targets in southern Lebanon "in response" to the rockets fired from Lebanon earlier.
