More Than 115 International Figures Attend Raisi’s Inauguration
Dozens of official delegations arrive in Tehran to attend the swearing-in ceremony of elected President Ebrahim Raisi.
A number of official delegations arrived in the capital, Tehran, today, Thursday, to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the elected President of the Republic, Ebrahim Raisi.
The ceremony will be held today, Thursday, at the Islamic Consultative Assembly building, with more than 115 foreign official figures, in addition to dozens of directors and delegates of international and regional organizations and institutions, and figures from around the world.
Among the personalities are Iraqi President Barham Salih, Speaker of the Russian Parliament, Vyacheslav Volodin, Deputy Secretary-General of Hezbollah in Lebanon Sheikh Naim Qassem, and Venezuelan Vice President Ricardo Menendez Prieto.
Additionally, the Speaker of the Syrian People's Assembly Hammouda Sabbagh, the head of the Yemeni national delegation Muhammad Abd al-Salam, the Afghan President Ashraf Ghani, the Algerian Prime Minister Ayman bin Abd al-Rahman, the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament Sahiba Gafarova, the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Duarte Pacheco.
The European Union delegation, headed by Assistant Secretary-General Enrique Mora, several European personalities, the Deputy Foreign Minister of South Korea, and the Special Envoy of Pope Francis, arrived in Tehran yesterday, Wednesday.
Other officials are the Minister of State of Bangladesh, the Special Envoy of the President of Sri Lanka, the Deputy Speaker of the Malaysian Parliament, and envoys from Tanzania, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Nigeria, Guinea, and Bosnia, in addition to the Secretary-General of OPEC.
