The ministry's spokesperson, Anis al-Asbahi, condemned the blatant US aggression and its targeting of civilians and civilian sites, calling it "a full-fledged war crime that violates all international norms and laws."
This is "another entry in the criminal record of the United States, adding to its dark history of crimes against Yemen, its land and people," he added.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Sanaa reported that the US carried out two airstrikes on the Shaab al-Hafa area. US warplanes also targeted Kamaran Island, west of the Hodeidah province, with four airstrikes, according to our correspondent.
On Thursday, al-Asbahi announced that at least 92 civilians have been killed and 165 others were wounded in US airstrikes on Yemen since mid-March.
SABA source refutes Trump's claim of killing Yemeni operatives in strike
On Friday, Trump shared a video on his social media accounts, claiming it depicted the killing of numerous fighters in an American strike on Yemen, with the caption "oops".
"These Houthis gathered for instructions on an attack," Trump wrote, using an alternative spelling of the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement.
However, a special source for the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) denied the claims and clarified that the gathering was actually a social event held for Eid al-Fitr celebrations in the Hodeidah governorate.
Such events are organized in various provinces during every holiday and occasion, a fact well-known to all the people of Yemen, the source noted.
According to the source, there is no connection, as falsely claimed by Trump, between those who were present at the gathering and the military operations carried out by the Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF), which are enforcing the maritime blockade on US and Israeli-linked ships.
Many social media users shared footage of similar traditional gatherings held during holidays, with many including children.
