5800+ Palestinians detained in West Bank since October 7
Israeli occupation forces have repeatedly raided West Bank cities and camps, destroyed infrastructure, and detained over 5800 Palestinians.
Israeli occupation forces arrested at least 15 Palestinians from various areas of the West Bank, in occupied Palestine. The IOF carried out this detention campaign after they began their raid late Friday night and only withdrew Saturday morning, as confirmed in a statement by the Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Committee and the Palestinian Prisoners Club.
The detention campaign focused on Beit Lahm Governorate, with the remaining detentions taking place across the governorates of Jenin and al-Khalil.
Among those detained were family members of the Resistance fighters who were martyred after they carried out the operation in al-Khalil earlier on Friday.
The detention campaign was accompanied by an invasion of these cities, which also entailed extensive harassment and the destruction of homes of civilians, along with brutal beatings of the detainees and their families.
The statement, moreover, stressed that including those detained between Friday evening and Saturday morning, a total of 5,835 Palestinians have been detained since the launch of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7.
In the West Bank and occupied al-Quds, detained Palestinians include those who are taken from homes and military checkpoints, those who surrender under pressure, and those used by the occupation as human shields before they get dragged to detention centers.
It should be noted that this is the total number of detained Palestinians, including the few that were later released at various times.
The statement lastly affirmed that the occupation continues to carry out systematic detention campaigns in the West Bank, as one of its prominent and consistent policies. These campaigns have escalated unprecedentedly in conjunction with its aggression on the Gaza Strip, both in terms of the crimes committed and the widespread incursions into the homes of the families of detainees, accompanied by extensive acts of sabotage and destruction.
Resistance fighters infiltrate 'Adora' settlement in the West Bank
"Adora", an illegal settlement located to the northwest of al-Khalil in the occupied West Bank, was subject to a "security breach", according to the Israeli Army Radio.
According to the Israeli outlet, three Palestinians infiltrated the settlement just before sounds of intense gunfire erupted.
Reports indicate that three Resistance fighters infiltrated the settlement, opening fire on a group of Israeli soldiers after ambushing them. The Resistance fighters were reportedly martyred, while two Israeli occupation soldiers were wounded as a result.
A video circulating on social media shows three young adults crossing through an opening in the fence separating the settlement from surrounding areas, corresponding to Friday's incident.

Israeli media outlets raised questions on the development following the embarrassment suffered by the Israeli occupation's security and military apparatuses on October 7, when Resistance fighters in the Gaza Strip exposed fragile security measures across the separation wall.
Israeli authorities sent significant reinforcements to the site, launched flares, and closed all entrances to al-Khalil. Meanwhile, Palestinian news sites reported that gunfire targeted the "Kfar Etzion" settlement located to the north of al-Khalil, while gunfire was reportedly heard at the Jalama checkpoint near the northern city of Jenin.
