The death toll from ongoing Israeli airstrikes on Gaza since dawn has risen to around 97, including 13 people waiting for humanitarian aid, with at least 174 others wounded, according to Al Mayadeen correspondent, though the numbers remain unconfirmed.

Gaza Civil Defense spokesman Mahmoud Basal told AFP that the victims "were killed in ongoing Israeli attacks on the territory."

Israeli forces kill aid-seekers again

The spokesman added that six civilians were killed while attempting to enter a food distribution center run by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation in Rafah, southern Gaza, an organization that delivers aid funded by both the United States and "Israel".

He further reported that three civilians were killed when an airstrike targeted a group near al-Nabulsi roundabout, southwest of Gaza City, as they waited for food aid, while another was killed on Salah al-Din Street in Wadi Gaza.

In northern Gaza, the Civil Defense spokesperson reported that 10 Palestinians were killed in a strike near a school in al-Tuffah neighborhood, while 8 others, including 5 children, were killed when a strike hit the Osama bin Zaid school sheltering displaced people in al-Saftawi area

Gaza death toll breaches 56,000

Gaza’s Health Ministry reported that the toll from Israel’s offensive has risen to approximately 56,331 killed and 132,632 injured since October 7, 2023, with an unknown number of victims still trapped under rubble or in streets inaccessible to ambulance and civil defense crews due to ongoing hostilities.

The ministry clarified that the casualty count since March 18, 2025, has reached 5,936 killed and 20,417 injured.

The ministry reports that around 550 Palestinians died and 4,000+ were injured during attempts to access aid centers since the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation launched operations in late May.

Palestinians find narcotics in US-Israeli aid

Narcotic pills are being smuggled into the besieged Gaza Strip through international aid shipments, a systematic violation that targets Palestinian civilians and exploits critical humanitarian channels, Palestinian authorities stated in Gaza on June 27.

Drug tablets were discovered hidden inside flour bags at US-Israeli-run aid distribution centers, according to an official statement from Gaza's Government Media Office, which described the incident as a calculated assault on Palestinian society designed to disrupt community stability and foster addiction among vulnerable civilians in the besieged territory.

According to the statement, the discovery was made during comprehensive checks of Gaza-bound aid packages, revealing what officials described as an intentional smuggling operation exploiting humanitarian channels during wartime conditions and a severe health emergency, constituting nothing less than a calculated campaign to erode social foundations from within.
