So far, the occupation has admitted that 348 of its soldiers have been killed since Operation Al-Aqsa Flood was launched on October 7.
More recently, the spokesperson for the Israeli military confirmed that one soldier was killed in the Gaza Strip while Israeli media reports revealed that a First Seargent serving under the 202nd Paratrooper Brigade was critically wounded on the same front on Sunday.
Simultaneously, the number of martyrs in the Gaza Strip has risen to a total of 10,022 Palestinians including 4,104 children, according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza.
This comes after Israeli occupation forces deliberately cut off Internet and communication services in the Gaza Strip on Sunday.
The number of martyrs and the extent of the destruction inflicted on the Gaza Strip became more apparent later on Monday as reports indicated that at least 200 people were martyred during the all-night raids.
Release of 12 foreign captives obstructed
Speaking earlier in the day, Abu Obeida said Hamas wanted to release 12 foreign captives last week, but its efforts were obstructed by the Israeli occupation.
Abu Obeida revealed that Al-Qassam Brigades were prepared to release foreign captives, though the situation on the ground and the Israeli occupation were jeopardizing their lives and obstructing the release.
Abu Obaida announced on October 23 that Hamas released two Israeli captives for "compelling humanitarian and medical reasons" as a result of an Egyptian-Qatari mediation.
Al-Qassam said they planned to release two Israeli captives on "humanitarian grounds", but the Israeli occupation government declined the offer.
This comes as Abu Obeida announced that the Brigades released two captive US citizens also on "humanitarian grounds".
