Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf stated on Friday that the Palestinian issue has transcended being solely an Islamic world concern and has become a global humanitarian matter.
In his address at the International Quds Day events in Tehran, Ghalibaf remarked, "The West's policies are hypocritical, as there is a significant disparity between the values they preach and the reality of their actions and policies."
He stressed that Palestine is "a difficult test for humanity's conscience," noting that "the Al-Aqsa flood was a very important turning point in history."
Ghalibaf further stated, "The Al-Aqsa Intifada was a rightful action by the Palestinians to resist the injustice they have endured for the past seven decades."
Regarding developments with the United States, Ghalibaf stated that the US "wants to strip Iran of its defensive capabilities," emphasizing that negotiations that "impose dictates are a prelude to war" and that "no rational or courageous person would accept such a situation."
He also noted that the US president's insults towards other heads of state "set a dangerous example, and the Iranian people cannot be deceived or insulted."

This comes as International Quds Day rallies are taking place across the Islamic Republic of Iran, with widespread popular participation, under the slogan "We will remain true to the pledge, O' Quds."
Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that the number of participants in Tehran this year is the largest in recent years.
US-Israeli plans will fail: PIJ
Additionally, the Islamic Jihad Movement denounced the silence of both the Arab world and the international community in the face of the genocide being carried out by the occupation against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, with the support, funding, and protection of successive US administrations.
In a statement, the movement asserted that the Israeli government's plans and the Trump administration's attempts to dismantle the unity of the Palestinian people, causing their displacement through massacres, killings, and starvation, will ultimately fail.
The movement declared, "We stand firm and announce to the world that our struggle and resistance are a lasting legacy, and we affirm that the resistance forces in Palestine will remain steadfast in their commitment to the cause of the prisoners."
It also sent its regards to the Yemeni people, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Hezbollah.
