Al-Azhar al-Sharif condemns West Bank attacks, warns of new genocide
In a statement, al-Azhar warned the world of a "Zionist plan being implemented on the occupied Palestinian territories in the West Bank.
Al-Azhar Al-Sharif strongly condemned the "Zionist terrorist aggression on the cities of the West Bank", and its destruction of roads, facilities, and homes, the shedding of the blood of dozens, and the injury and arrest of hundreds.
In a statement, al-Azhar warned the world of a "Zionist plan being implemented on the occupied Palestinian territories in the West Bank, to seize their ownership, Judaizing their landmarks, killing their Palestinian owners, and committing a new genocide," as the occupation is assured that no one will lift a finger to the deadly events currently unfolding in Gaza.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Gaza reported on Saturday that the death toll from the Israeli bombing of a house in the al-Nuseirat refugee camp, in central Gaza, has risen to 9 martyrs, with over 10 others injured.
In Khan Younis, southern Gaza, an Israeli airstrike on a home resulted in the martyrdom of five people, leaving 15 others injured, according to the Palestinian Civil Defense.
Al-Azhar also cautioned about the danger of Israeli aggression on the security and stability of the region, calling on the humanitarian community to assume its responsibilities regarding the Zionist killing machine and its shocking and painful amount of brutal massacres against the people of Gaza and what is taking place in the West Bank.
Al-Azhar also called on the Islamic world to harness “all political, diplomatic, and popular capabilities, and sources of power," to renew a boycott of Israeli products and protect Palestinians, the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the holy city of Al-Quds.
Palestinian news agency WAFA reported on Saturday that Israeli illegal settlers assaulted Palestinians and their properties in various areas across the occupied West Bank on Friday evening.
The attacks were part of a broader pattern of settlers' violence that has escalated since October 7.
In one incident, settlers set fire to a large area of cultivated land belonging to Palestinians from the village of Burqa, east of Ramallah.
PIJ military West Bank chief says all factions to fight as one unit
The commander of the al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement in the West Bank, affirmed that the faction was working in unison with all Resistance forces in Operation Terror of the Camps just as they are doing in Operation al-Aqsa Flood in the Gaza Strip.
In statements published on the official Telegram channel of the al-Quds Brigades, the West Bank commander addressed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the leaders of the occupation, stating, "It is too late to quash the Resistance project in the West Bank."
He emphasized that "there are cells spread across all cities and camps, now operating under the formations of the al-Quds Brigades and the resistance." He further warned the occupation, saying, "We will see what will happen in the coming days with the soldiers and vehicles currently invading the cities of Jenin, Tubas, and Tulkarm."
The commander also highlighted that the martyrdom of Tulkarm Brigade commander Mohammad Jaber, known as Abu Shujaa, along with other resistance fighters, "will only stoke the flames of resistance." He pointed out that the number of people joining the resistance increases with each martyr.
Israeli media reported on Saturday that one Israeli soldier was killed in Jenin as confrontations with Palestinian Resistance fighters in the occupied West Bank continued for the fourth consecutive day.
Resistance groups in Jenin announced successfully carrying out several ambushes, confirming casualties among Israeli soldiers.
The renewed raid in Jenin came following the withdrawal of the IOF from the town of Kafr Dan, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported. Before exiting the town, Israeli forces besieged a house west of the city, leading to a confrontation with Resistance fighters, mainly from the al-Qassam Brigades.
The Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades - Jenin announced that they are engaged in fierce battles with occupation soldiers in the eastern neighborhood of Jenin, the al-Damj neighborhood, and across all combat zones in the city, using machine guns and explosive devices. They confirmed that they inflicted direct hits on the Israeli forces.
Palestinian media reported wounded Israeli soldiers being evacuated following the al-Damj ambush.
The Israeli army is evacuating injured soldiers after they fell into a resistance ambush in the Al-Damj neighborhood, in Jenin, according to local sources.
