Al-Houthi stresses Yemen's support for Palestinian people, resistance
Ansar Allah leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi underlines the responsibility the Islamic world has toward the Palestinian cause in light of the occupation's aggression on Jenin.
The Islamic Ummah has great responsibility toward occupied Palestine, and there is a need for continuous and sincere action as well as generous support for the Palestinian cause, Yemeni Ansar Allah leader Sayyed Abdul-Malik al-Houthi said Tuesday.
During his remarks on the latest developments in occupied Palestine, al-Houthi praised the honorable positions taken by the fighters in Palestine, Lebanon, and the Axis of Resistance, stating that they were growing in strength.
Expressing hope for further coordination and cooperation within the resistance axis towards Palestine, al-Houthi affirmed that Ansar Allah has steadfast and principled positions regarding the Palestinian issue.
"We look with admiration and reverence at the sacrifices made by the Palestinian people and the resilience shown in Jenin, the West Bank, Gaza, and all of Palestine," al-Houthi added.
He emphasized that the sacrifices of the Palestinian people and their fighters will bear fruit, underlining the responsibility to stand alongside the Palestinian people and provide all forms of support for them and the Palestinian cause.
This comes as the Israeli occupation continues its aggression on the city and camp of Jenin in the occupied West Bank for the second day in a row, while Palestinian Resistance fighters bravely confront Israeli occupation forces with barrages of bullets and detonating explosive devices.
Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday that the number of Palestinians killed in the Israeli occupation aggression against the city and camp of Jenin had risen to 10 after the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) announced that it had recovered a martyr's body from Horsh Al-Saada area.
PRCS confirmed that its medical teams dealt with 120 injuries in the field so far, indicating that the occupation forces prevented ambulances from reaching the locations of the injured.
On its part, the Palestinian Prisoners Information Office stated that the occupation forces arrested about 120 Palestinians from the city and camp of Jenin since the start of the aggression.
The city of Jenin witnessed continued violent confrontations throughout Monday night as the Israeli occupation forces deployed reinforcements in attempts to break the Resistance lines of defense.
Jenin deputy mayor Mohammed Jarrar confirmed that the occupation forces deliberately demolished the homes in the camp, after forcing out a number of the residents.
Boycott Swedish products
In response to the recent crime of burning a copy of the Holy Quran in Sweden, al-Houthi highlighted how the Islamic world's reaction does not match the severity of the crime.
Arab and Islamic countries have the option to, at the very least, sever diplomatic relations with Sweden.
Al-Houthi pointed out that there was a decision in Yemen to boycott Swedish goods, emphasizing that people have the power to voice their concerns through protests and boycotts.
The Ansar Allah leader highlighted that the entire Islamic world has the capability to boycott Swedish products, and such an economic boycott would have a significant impact.
He further stated that the interest of the Islamic world lies in relying on its own production as an alternative to depending on the products of its enemies who do not even respect its sentiments with a mere word.
On Wednesday, a man named Salwan Momika, 37, burned a copy of the Muslim Holy book outside the Stockholm Central Mosque. He was granted a permit from Swedish authorities prior to carrying out his act.
Two weeks earlier, a Swedish appeals court rejected the police's decision to deny permits for those who wanted to wage protests involving the burning of the Quran.
Momika's desecration of the Quran was made to coincide with the Muslim festivity of Eid Al-Adha, which commemorates the end of the annual Hajj pilgrimage and is celebrated by hundreds of millions of Muslims around the world.
The European Union condemned the Quran burning that took place in Sweden, urging for the avoidance of escalation and underlining that in the eyes of the bloc, the burning of any holy book is a "provocation". The condemnation came in a statement issued by the European External Action Service (EEAS).
The organizing committee of rallies that took place in the Yemeni capital of Sanaa condemned the Israeli aggression on Jenin and expressed their outrage at the burning of a copy of the Quran in Sweden.
The committee said in a statement that "the Israeli enemy will once again regret its aggression," while commending the "heroic response of the Palestinian resistance."
Protesters in Sanaa burned both the Israeli and US flags in protest against the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Jenin camp.
