The military wings of Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) announced a series of operations targeting Israeli forces and military vehicles across several areas of the Gaza Strip, inflicting significant damage and casualties.

Al-Qassam operations in Gaza City

The al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, said its fighters carried out multiple operations in al-Mansoura Street in the al-Shujaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City.

On Tuesday, fighters targeted an Israeli Merkava tank with a locally produced tandem charge rocket-propelled grenade (RPGs), known as Yassin-105, while earlier operations were conducted in July.

Joint operation with al-Quds Brigades

In a joint attack with the al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad, al-Qassam said its fighters bombarded a gathering of Israeli soldiers and military vehicles with mortar shells on Monday in the al-Satr al-Gharbi area, north of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.

The al-Quds Brigades also announced the destruction of an Israeli military vehicle by detonating a high-explosive “Thaqeb” device during an incursion into al-Arnab Street in the al-Katiba area of central Khan Younis.

Destruction of over 50 Israeli military vehicles

A field commander in the al-Quds Brigades said Resistance fighters inflicted heavy losses on Israeli forces following their partial withdrawal from eastern Gaza in recent days.

The area had been prepared with “Thaqeb” and “Zelzal” improvised explosive devices, in addition to repurposed munitions left by Israeli forces.

According to the commander, more than 52 Israeli military vehicles were destroyed in al-Shujaiya, al-Tuffah, and al-Zaytoun neighborhoods using explosives and shells. Fighters inspected craters and remnants of armored vehicles in the prepared combat zones.

He noted that many vehicle demolitions have not yet been announced due to the inability to reach and document some of the areas. The commander stressed that the outcome proves the Israeli military suffered a painful blow during its eastern Gaza incursion, vowing that the al-Quds Brigades will continue their combat operations.
