Al-Qassam, al-Quds Brigades fighters puzzle Israeli forces in Jabalia
Palestinian Resistance factions launched multiple joint operations on Sunday confirming multiple casualties among enemy forces.
Palestinian Resistance factions conducted a number of operations on Sunday targeting Israeli occupation forces across the Gaza Strip, via complex operations behind enemy lines and rocket and mortar attacks.
Confrontations concentrated in Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip and Rafah, while mortar and rocket attacks targeted a number of Israeli positions in and out of the besieged territory.
Palestinian Resistance operation in Rafah
In Rafah, Hamas' al-Qassam Brigades targeted Israeli occupation forces positioned at the Rafah border crossing with a number of mortar rounds.
The Palestinian Islamic Jihad's (PIJ) al-Quds Brigades mortar units were also highly active on Sunday, targeting Israeli armored and infantry forces in the al-Salam neighborhood on several occasions with different caliber mortar rounds.

Jabalia confrontations intensify on 226th day of war on Gaza
On the other end of the Gaza Strip, in the northern refugee camp of Jabalia, Palestinian Resistance fighters continue to confront Israeli occupation forces in one of the most intense chapters of the Israeli war on Gaza.
Today's confrontations saw a new axis of confrontation near the Martyr Imad Akel Mosque in the Jabalia refugee camp, where al-Qassam fighters fired an al-Yassin locally-produced tandem rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) at an Israeli Merkava 4 tank. Martyr Akel is a renowned Palestinian Resistance commander who set up al-Qassam's military groundwork in the late '80s and early '90s. He commanded the Resistance faction before he was assassinated by Israeli occupation forces in November 1993.
Al-Qassam fighters also took part in several joint operations in the same area with al-Quds Brigades fighters. In one complex operation, fighters from both factions targeted an Israeli infantry force outside the mosque. The engagement led to several casualties among occupation forces. The two factions also targeted an infantry force in Albani Street, killing all of its members. Another group also destroyed an Israeli Merkava tank after setting off an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) on al-Arajmah Street.
The two factions also conducted a joint mortar attack on the Israeli battlefield command and control post to the east of Jabalia.
Al-Quds Brigades fighters also detonated an amor-piercing locally produced explosive device, Bareq, targeting an Israeli Merkava 4 tank in the Tamraz station in Jabalia.
The faction's mortar units also targeted Israeli occupation vehicles near the al-Trans Street. Moreover, fighters also launched several rifle-launched grenades toward Israeli occupation groupings to the east of Jabalia.
In the city of Jabalia, al-Quds Brigades fighters targeted an Israeli Merkava tank with a tandem RPG.
Several other Resistance factions were engaged in fierce fighting on Sunday, including the al-Mujahideen Brigades who utilized various types of weapons to confront Israeli occupation forces in Jabalia. Al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades fighters also fired several mortars at Israeli occupation forces to the east of the city.
The DFLP's National Resistance Brigades also coordinated with the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades and the Martyr Abul Qader al-Husseini Brigades to target Israeli occupation forces to the east of Jabalia with locally produced short-range rocket artillery.
Furthermore, the DFLP's rocket force also launched a joint rocket attack with al-Quds Brigades fighters targeting the Israeli settlement city of Sderot, located to the northeast of the Gaza Strip, with a significant salvo of rockets.

Earlier on May 15, the Israeli occupation admitted to five deaths in the 35th Paratroopers Brigades' 202nd Battalion, claiming that the soldiers were killed in "friendly fire".
On Sunday, the Israeli military spokesperson announced that another officer, with the rank of Major, succumbed to his wounds on Sunday.
This brings up the total number of casualties in this particular incident that occurred in Jabalia to six, while another seven were seriously injured.
