Contact was lost with two Israeli captives, Omri Miran and Metan Ingrist, due to intensified Israeli military operations and heavy bombardment in the Sabra and Tal al-Hawa neighborhoods over the past 24 hours, the al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced.
In a statement, the Brigades called on Israeli forces to immediately withdraw to the south of Street 8 and to halt all aerial sorties for 24 hours starting at 6 pm today, to allow an attempt to retrieve the captives.
The statement concluded with a stern warning: “Forewarned is forearmed.”
