The Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced on Saturday that it ambushed an Israeli force in a carefully planned operation in the al-Atatra area of Beit Lahia, in the northern Gaza Strip.
In a statement, the al-Qassam Brigades said that after its fighters returned from the frontlines, they confirmed “ambushing a Zionist infantry unit in a well-executed trap and engaging them from point-blank with light weapons” in a May 27 operation.
The fighters reported confirmed fatalities and injuries among the invading force.
Yesterday, the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades also announced that its fighters, in coordination with the al-Quds Brigades, engaged an Israeli force that had taken shelter inside a house in Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, resulting in casualties among the Israeli troops.
It is worth noting that since the Israeli army resumed its genocidal war on March 18, the Resistance has successfully carried out several powerful ambushes against Israeli forces invading the Gaza Strip, leading to the killing and injury of multiple Israeli soldiers.

In detail, one soldier was injured in the north during confrontations with the Resistance, as reported by the Israeli newspaper The Jerusalem Post.
Meanwhile, The Times of Israel reported that an IOF soldier serving with the 188th Armored Brigade’s 74th Battalion was seriously wounded in the southern Gaza Strip yesterday, the military admitted.
According to an initial IOF probe, the soldier was hit by “accidental misfire”.
