The Palestinian Resistance continues its operations against the raiding Israeli occupation forces across the besieged Gaza Strip.

On the 188th day of the war, Al Mayadeen's correspondent confirmed that the Resistance fighters were engaging in confrontations with Israeli occupation forces near the Malaysian school north of the al-Nusseirat camp in central Gaza.

Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) movement, announced that its Resistance fighters sniped an Israeli soldier east of Gaza City.

The Brigades also announced that its fighters shot down and captured an Israeli Quadcopter while it was conducting intelligence missions in the skies over central Gaza. Later, the military media of al-Quds Brigades published footage of the drone.

Al Mayadeen's correspondent in Gaza confirmed earlier on Thursday that the Resistance engaged in confrontations with Israeli occupation forces in the al-Mughraqa and al-Zahraa areas in central Gaza.

Earlier, the Israeli occupation military announced that it has launched a "targeted operation" against the Palestinian Resistance overnight on the outskirts of al-Nusseirat in central Gaza where its troops have not been able to set foot yet.

This comes mere days after Israeli media confirmed that the Israeli forces that had invaded the southern Gaza Strip in recent months have withdrawn, as more than half a year has passed since the war began with "Israel" failing to achieve its stated objectives.

The 98th Division, comprising three brigades, including the 7th Armored Brigade, withdrew from Khan Younis after four months of confrontations there. This marked the first withdrawal since the commencement of the ground invasion.

The reports representing the occupation forces clarified that only one brigade, the Nahal Brigade, remained stationed in the Strip. It was emphasized that the Brigade's main task was to secure the "Netzarim" Corridor to impede the return of Gaza residents to the northern Strip.
