Palestinian Islamic Jihad's military wing Al-Quds Brigades carried out on Tuesday an operation against an Israeli military unit in Beit Ummar, in the West Bank's al-Khalil region.

The Brigades, in an official statement, confirmed that their operation inflicted direct casualties on the Israeli occupation soldiers.

During confrontations with the Israeli forces in Beit Ummar, two Palestinians were wounded by Israeli gunfire, and tens suffered suffocation from tear gas bombs.

Elsewhere, confrontations erupted near the western entrance of the southern town of Beit Fajjar between Palestinians and Israeli forces, which resulted in the injury of several Palestinians.

In a separate operation, Al-Quds Brigades - Tulkarm Brigades - announced on Tuesday that its Resistance fighters carried out a successful infiltration operation into the "Einav" settlement located north of the West Bank.

In a statement, the Brigades confirmed that during the operation, its fighters stormed the military tower in the settlement and took control of it.

According to the Brigades, the operation resulted in the death of one Israeli settler and the wounding of another.

Palestinians in the occupied West Bank launched a comprehensive strike on Sunday morning, denouncing the Israeli aggression against Gaza, in conjunction with the occupation closing all crossings and preventing entry and exit to the West Bank, in addition to blocking roads in the region and the entrances to Palestinian cities.
