Palestinian Islamic Jihad's military wing Al-Quds Brigades carried out on Tuesday an operation against an Israeli military unit in Beit Ummar, in the West Bank's al-Khalil region.

The Brigades, in an official statement, confirmed that their operation inflicted direct casualties on the Israeli occupation soldiers.

During confrontations with the Israeli forces in Beit Ummar, two Palestinians were wounded by Israeli gunfire, and tens suffered suffocation from tear gas bombs.

Elsewhere, confrontations erupted near the western entrance of the southern town of Beit Fajjar between Palestinians and Israeli forces, which resulted in the injury of several Palestinians.
