Al-Quds: Confrontations with Israeli occupation at Damascus Gate
Israeli occupation forces have arrested five Palestinians at the Damascus Gate in occupied Al-Quds and established a mobile command center near the area.
Confrontations erupted between Palestinian youths and Israeli occupation forces at the Damascus Gate in occupied Al-Quds on Saturday.
Damascus Gate area also witnessed an increased presence of occupation forces. The situation grew stressful as they erected a steel fence on both sides of the gate and established a mobile command center near the area.
Israeli occupation forces arrested five young men from the region and took them in for questioning.

This happened in the aftermath of the Isha and Taraweeh prayers in Al-Aqsa mosque on the first day of the month of Ramadan, where 50,000 worshippers gathered.
At the same time, occupation forces stormed a neighborhood in the town of Silwan, threw sonic grenades, and fired rubber-coated metal bullets at the locals.
