Al-Sudani to Blinken: US attacks violate Iraqi sovereignty

Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani, confirmed Iraq’s position rejecting any aggression against Iraqi lands during a phone call with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Saturday,
During his call with Blinken, al-Sudani emphasized that the attack on the Jurf al-Nasr area constituted a violation of Iraqi sovereignty, as indicated in a statement by his office.
Simultaneously, al-Sudani reiterated "the Iraqi government's commitment to safeguarding international coalition advisors present in Iraq," as stated in the release.
The Iraqi Presidency condemned the US bombing of the Jurf al-Nasr area on November 22, indicating that it was an unacceptable escalation and a violation of Iraqi sovereignty.
Also, the government denounced the US attack on the Jurf al-Nasr area, carried out without the knowledge of Iraqi government agencies, stating that it constitutes a clear violation of sovereignty and an attempt to disrupt the stable internal security situation.
The government stated that al-Sudani directed all armed forces and security services to fulfill their duties, enforce the law, and prevent any party from disrupting or harming the country's security and stability. This follows the death of eight Iraqis in an American air attack on Jurf al-Nasr, south of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad.
'Range of targets must be expanded'
Following that, the Hezbollah Brigades in Iraq affirmed, "The crime of the American bombing of the PMF headquarters necessitates expanding the range of targets if the enemy persists in its criminal approach," emphasizing that this crime "has not passed and will not go unpunished".
Two days ago, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq affirmed its "readiness to escalate military operations inside and outside Iraq if the American enemy persists in the continuation of the Zionist killing machine, whether in steadfast Gaza or proud southern Lebanon."
Earlier, the leader of the Iraqi Badr Organization, Mohammed al-Gebraoui declared that any participation of the US in the aggression on Gaza would be met with "direct hits on US interests in Iraq", emphasizing that the Resistance's operations would resume until the Israeli aggression stops.
The commander additionally reasserted, in an interview with Al Mayadeen, that there is no legitimacy to US presence in Iraq and that the Resistance can target US interests, even in protected zones.
The US occupation forces in Syria and Iraq have been attacked 74 times since October 7, the start date of Operation al-Aqsa Flood, a Pentagon official told an official from the Ministry of Defense, as reported by the Voice of America.
