Iraq's Kata'ib Hezbollah (Hezbollah Brigades) Spokesperson, Mohammad Mohie, told Monday Al Mayadeen that Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi committed a major crime against Iraqi demonstrators.

"Al-Kadhimi has lost all hope in a new term after the crime he committed against demonstrators," Mohie added to Al Mayadeen. The Spokesperson stressed that the current Prime Minister is rejected by most political powers, and the talk about him staying in power in return for a settlement is false.

"We are against this method, and we believe al-Kadhimi is the biggest beneficiary of what happened," Mohie asserted.

The Spokesperson told Al Mayadeen that al-Kadhimi is trying to force Iraq into choosing one of the two: either his re-election or putting Iraq on edge. Therefore, he considered that the Iraqi PM is messing with the Iraqi security, thus seeking to achieve his goals through this fabricated scenario. "What happened was a sham, and the US defense system was not triggered," he said.

Mohie saw that Washington was outraged upon seeing demonstrators gathering around the leaders of the Iraqi factions in the Green Zone, therefore, "the US attempted to flip things around."

"The United States has considered the Resistance and the Popular Mobilization Forces as the main threat since the fall of ISIS," he asserted, noting that the ones whom the US fear are still on the ground and are more than capable of turning the tables.

Spokesperson Mohie also saw that "those being led by al-Kadhimi by the orders of the US embassy" did not care about dragging Iraq to war.

"The United States acknowledges that the Axis of Resistance is behind thwarting the normalization projects in the region," Mohie underscored.

Additionally, he addressed the Iranian role in Syria, which he praised and described as "positive".

The words of Hezbollah Brigades Spokesperson came after the Iraqi media cell announced an assassination attempt on Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi at his residence in the Green Zone.
