Amir-Abdollahian: Vienna Talks are on the right track
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian expresses optimism about the course of the Vienna negotiations, which will be halted temporarily and resumed in January.
The Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said Tuesday that the Vienna Talks are on the right track, expressing optimism that an agreement that satisfies all parties could be reached.
He added that Iran is "optimistic" about making progress in the current round of talks if the other sides act "realistically".
He noted that the negotiations are on the right track and that what is important is having a common and unified text that the Iranian negotiating team will focus on.
On the sidelines of the memorial ceremony for the former Ambassador to Yemen, Hassan Erlo, Iran's FM revealed that a new Iranian ambassador to Yemen will be appointed soon.
The Foreign Minister maintained that Iran will pursue its efforts to develop cooperation, restore peace, lift the humanitarian blockade, and end the aggression on Yemen.
The Vienna Talks are scheduled to resume after the New Year's Day celebration on January 2.
Bagheri Kani: No success in Vienna unless sanctions are lifted
Iran's lead negotiator in the Vienna Talks Ali Bagheri Kani announced earlier that talks at the level of expert committees will be held in Vienna today to discuss lifting the sanctions on Tehran.
Bagheri Kani detailed that delegates from various participating countries have affirmed the importance of following up on lifting the sanctions and providing guarantees.
