Ansar Allah congratulates freed Palestinian prisoner Karim Younis
The Yemeni movement called on the Islamic world to direct their fight and struggle toward the Israeli enemy.
The Yemeni political bureau of the Ansar Allah movement issued a statement congratulating the Palestinian prisoner Karim Younis on his freedom after "40 years of jihad and patience in the prisons of the Israeli enemy."
Ansar Allah confirmed that his freedom, "after being held for 40 years behind bars, is a motivator to the entire Ummah to remember the great sacrifices made by the heroes of the Palestinian people."
The statement added that "the people of our region should direct their struggle and jihad towards their enemy, who occupies their sanctities and commits the most heinous crimes against the Palestinian people every day."

The Yemeni movement hoped that "the rest of the prisoners will obtain their freedom very soon," stressing that "the duty of the Islamic Ummah is to assume its responsibility towards the Palestinian cause and the issue of the prisoners in particular."
Earlier today, Karim Younis, the longest-serving Palestinian prisoner in Israeli prison, was freed 4 decades after he was first arrested in January 1983.

It is worth noting that Younis' mother died while he was in prison. Since he was captured in 1983, Sabiha Younis long waited for her son until she passed away in May of 2022.
A 40-year-old dream that was never fulfilled.

Prisoner Karim Younis, born in 1958 in the village of 'Ara, was arrested by the occupation forces at the age of 23 and was one of 25 prisoners whom the occupation authorities have been detaining since before the signing of the Oslo Accords in 1993.
For decades, the Israeli occupation refused to release them, despite the completion of a number of exchange deals, the latest of which was in 2014.
