As a prelude to cabinet reshuffle, Jordanian ministers resign
The new ministers are expected to be sworn in on Tuesday.
Ministers in the Jordanian government have tendered their resignations in anticipation of yet another cabinet reshuffle, Jordan News agency (Petra) reported.
The resignations were formally submitted during a cabinet session presided over by Prime Minister Bisher al-Khasawneh. The swift action comes amid mounting speculation about the need for a fresh infusion of leadership within the government.
According to information published on the Jordan News website, the new ministers are expected to be sworn in on Tuesday.
The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan has undergone a series of cabinet reshuffles since King Abdullah II appointed Prime Minister Bisher al-Khasawneh in October 2020. This latest development marks the sixth such change within the government structure since al-Khasawneh's appointment.

As a key regional player with a border shared with Occupied Palestine, Jordan also maintains a crucial alliance with the United States.
On August 2, the Southern Jordanian Military Zone foiled an infiltration attempt by a trespasser to cross the Palestinian-Jordanian border into Jordan, preventing them from crossing into Jordanian territory through unauthorized means.
A military source from the Jordan Armed Forces - Arab Army said the border guard forces swiftly implemented engagement protocols, leading to the apprehension of the trespasser.
The Jordan News Agency (Petra) quoted a military source as saying that the border guards arrested the trespasser before handing him over to the relevant authorities pending further investigation.
