Bahrain regime's role in Yemen attack signals isolation: Exclusive
Sheikh Hussein al-Daihi, the Deputy Secretary-General of Bahrain's al-Wefaq Society, emphasizes the critical importance of ending foreign presence and dismantling military bases in Bahrain.
Deputy Secretary-General of al-Wefaq National Islamic Society, Sheikh Hussein al-Daihi, affirmed in an exclusive interview for Al Mayadeen Net, on Friday, that the recent attacks on Yemen constitute "serious violations reflecting the hostile dimensions of the Zionist project in the region."
Al-Daihi added that the participation of the Bahraini regime in the aggression against Yemen "highlights its hostile approach and increasing isolation from the Bahraini people and the Arab and Islamic nations."
Furthermore, he pointed out that these actions "are part of a series of crimes committed by fascist colonialism in the region," confirming the continuation of colonial domination and foreign meddling due to the presence of US and UK military bases in the region.
Al-Daihi emphasized that ending foreign presence is a fundamental step toward achieving stability and peace in the region.
Regarding the use of foreign bases in Bahrain in these attacks, he contended that the use of foreign bases in Bahrain in these attacks is a cause of insecurity, continuous threat, and instability.
The Deputy Secretary-General of al-Wefaq National Islamic Society also affirmed that ending foreign presence and all military bases constitutes a stability factor for Bahrain and the region.
He also stated that this aggression "aims to defend the Israeli occupation entity at a time when Yemen takes a step related to lifting the oppressive blockade on the Palestinian people in Gaza."
He pointed out that the scale of war crimes and atrocities in Gaza is enough to make the world and certain Arab figures who support Zionism feel ashamed. He highlighted that the West disregards all laws, treaties, and agreements to protect the occupation and its brutal crimes.
Concluding his interview for Al Mayadeen Net, the Bahraini Deputy Secretary-General affirmed the movement's solidarity with the Yemeni people and its firm rejection of the aggression, as well as the Bahraini regime's involvement in it.
This comes shortly after US Air Forces Central stated in a press release that airstrikes in Yemen targeted over 60 sites associated with the Ansar Allah movement across 16 locations.
The strikes involved the utilization of over 100 precision-guided munitions of diverse types, as mentioned in the release.
Earlier, the New York Times reported that the Netherlands, Australia, Canada, and Bahrain provided logistical, intelligence, and other forms of support to the aggression.
