Beirut files UNSC complaint against 'Israel' for Civil Defense killing
Lebanon's complaint calls on the Security Council members to hold "Israel" accountable for its crimes and for killing Civil Defense personnel.
Lebanon's Permanent Mission to the United Nations submitted a complaint to the Security Council after "Israel" targeted a Civil Defense vehicle in Froun, Nabatieh, killing four firefighters who were on a mission to extinguish a fire caused by Israeli shelling.
In the complaint, submitted under the direction of Foreign Minister Abdullah Bou Habib, Lebanon strongly condemned the "repeated, deliberate, and unjustified Israeli attacks on relief workers, medics, healthcare centers, and medical institutions," describing them as a blatant violation of human rights, international law, and international humanitarian law.

“Lebanon urges Security Council members to condemn these violations, hold Israel accountable, and apply pressure to ensure adherence to international laws and norms,” the complaint read.
On September 7th, Al-Mayadeen's correspondent reported the martyrdom of several Civil Defense personnel after an Israeli drone targeted a firefighting team as they worked in the vicinity of the town of Froun in southern Lebanon.
The Lebanese Health Ministry stated at the time that the attack underscores the "barbaric and aggressive intentions" of the "Israeli enemy," which "persists in carrying out violations of international law, leaving no space for humanitarian missions that are normally permitted even in the most brutal and devastating wars."

Since October, the Israeli occupation has repeatedly targeted journalists, medics, and civil workers, in addition to medical centers, clinics, and Civil Defense stations.
Additionally, airstrikes on residential areas and private property are carried out daily.
Several massacres have been committed by "Israel" in southern Lebanon.
In August, 10 members of a Syrian family, including women and children, were killed in an Israeli strike on their home in the Kfour Valley to the northwest of the city of Nabatieh.
