Biden 2024 fires campaign with Ukraine war ad
US President Joe Biden will utilize a trip to Ukraine to boost his presidential campaign in the coming election.
In a gripping 60-second campaign ad that recently made its debut on social media and is set to air on TV in key battleground states, 80-year-old US President Joe Biden fires the 2024 campaign salvo with Ukraine's 'war zone' ad. This unconventional advertisement unfolds with the intensity of a movie trailer that tries to portray the President as a hero at a time when his popularity is at an all-time low.
President Biden had made a surprise visit to Kiev in February, and as Ukrainians and Russians were dying due to his country's prolonging of the escalating war.

In an era where opinion polls have become increasingly tumultuous, President Biden is on a mission to solidify his image as a "true leader", and instead of helping his country reel in from the crisis it is facing, he instead embarked on the path of film acting.

The ad opens with a poignant statement: "It was the first time in modern history that an American president went into a war zone not controlled by the United States."
The timing of the ad's release coincided with President Biden's participation in the G20 summit in India - a summit notable for Russian President Vladimir Putin's absence.
The ad begins by depicting Biden's covert journey from Poland to Kiev "under cover of night," symbolizing the clandestine nature of his mission.
The subsequent scenes depict the President walking "shoulder to shoulder with our allies in the war-torn streets, standing up for democracy in a place where a tyrant is waging war to take it away."
The ad then showcases the grim realities of the war exacerbated by the United States, with footage of soldiers firing cannons, serving as a stark reminder of the violence unfolding in Ukraine.
It culminates in an image of President Biden, sporting his trademark aviator sunglasses, in a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The ad closes with the declaration: "In the middle of a war zone, Joe Biden showed the world what America is made of. That's the quiet strength of a true leader who doesn't back down to a dictator."

The presidential bids have already started. During a campaign stop in Pennsylvania in late July, former US president Donald Trump took the chance to call the current President "the most corrupt president in American history."
"We have somebody that’s not at the top of his game," Trump said at the Erie Insurance Arena. "Never was at the top of his game. We have a guy who is a dumb son of a b*tch."
Trump also used the stage to bring up several legal issues in which he remains involved, including a federal indictment, set for next May, for illegally retaining classified government information at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.
Trump also used the same 'SOB' term to describe his Republican rival Ron DeSantis, saying financial donations toward his rivals only serve to strengthen Biden’s efforts at being re-elected.
Further, the former President praised several foreign leaders as being "very street-smart" people who "know what they are doing" and are "at the top of their game" but did not name them.
