Joe Biden has asserted his mental capacities following Special Prosecutor Hur's critical report, only to mix up two different presidents in a live presser.

On Thursday, US President Joe Biden clapped back at remarks made by Special Counsel Robert Hur that questioned his mental acumen and his management of certain classified documents.

In the investigation, Hur concluded that Biden intentionally kept and shared classified information. However, a Justice Department report released on Thursday stated that Hur did not recommend criminal charges be pressed against him.

Republicans who had reviewed the file, including former president Donald Trump, slammed the conclusion and the judicial system alike for not charging Biden, even after he was found guilty.

Responding to the findings, Biden said he had taken responsibility for the misconduct related to the documents, but essentially blamed his staff for moving things out of his house without "having exactly seen them". Regarding the recommendations Hur suggested concerning this matter, Biden jested, "I've been president and I put this country back on its feet, I don't need his recommendation."

Biden: 'How dare he raise that?'

Hur's report also criticized Biden's mental awareness, describing him as an "elderly man with a poor memory", which initially sparked the president's retaliatory remarks.

To that, Biden said he's "well-meaning and knows what the hell he's doing".

The report also raised claims such as the president forgetting when his son Beau had died.

Triggered, Biden clapped back saying "There's even reference that I don't remember when my son died. How in the hell dare he raise that? Frankly, when I was asked the question I thought to myself it wasn't any of their damn business," reiterating that his memory was well and refreshed.

Reporters who discussed the file with Biden also asked him about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, to which Biden responded, mixing up the Mexican and Egyptian presidents. Referring to Egypt's El-Sisi, Biden said "The Mexican President, Sisi", once again calling into question his mental capabilities and awareness.

Distrust in Biden: More than just political rivalry

After the release of the report, MAGA Inc., a pro-Donald Trump political action organization, issued a statement saying that US President Joe Biden is unsuitable to govern the country.

The director of the MAGA Inc. organization, Alex Pfeiffer expressed Thursday, “If you’re too senile to stand trial, then you’re too senile to be president. Joe Biden is unfit to lead this nation."

Last year, after a physical examination found President Joe Biden to be "fit for duty," US Congressman and former White House physician Ronny Jackson accused the US administration of hiding reports on the president's mental health.

"The majority of Americans can see that Biden's mental health is in total decline, yet there is no transparency from the White House on what's going on, if anything, to address this issue and his inability to do his job," Jackson told Fox News Digital.

Jackson argued that the physical exam report "further confirms that this administration is still adamant about concealing the truth."
